Ingredients
- 1/2 kg Chicken preferably boneless
- 4 tsp Red chili powder
- 2 tsp Coriander powder
- 3 tsp Corn flour
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1 tsp Lime juice
- 1 tsp Curd
- 2 tsp Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 pinch Orange food color
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- For Seasoning:
- 1/2 cup Red onion finely chopped
- 5 cloves Garlic crushed and finely chopped
- 1 inch piece Ginger finely chopped
- 2 sprigs Curry leaves roughly chopped
- 4 Green chilies Slit
- 3 tbsp Sambal Oelek sauce
Instructions
- Clean chicken pieces and chop them into bite-sized pieces.
- Mix all the ingredients together except oil in a mixing bowl.
- Add chicken pieces and mix thoroughly until chicken pieces are evenly coated with masala paste.
- Marinate for a minimum of 2 hours or overnight for best results.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan.
- Fry chicken pieces until golden and remove on a plate.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
- Throw in finely chopped onion, curry leaves and ginger-garlic and saute till a nice aroma arises.
- Add chili paste and stir well.
- Now add fried chicken pieces and give it a nice stir.
- When chicken pieces are evenly coated with chili paste, garnish with coriander leaves and transfer to a serving dish. :-Serve hot with chopped onion and lime wedges. Happy Cooking 🙂
